It's my last semester at CSULB so you should see from me some good work. . . hopefully :) Wish me good luck on my last semester at college!!

How many of you are starting school soon and having great expectations of what you will accomplish? Well, good luck to all of you, I just can't wait to graduate!!! In this past year I have neglected to "finish" two of my three classes for each semester and consequently recieved UW and I for grades which I must make up. . . doesn't it suck to have to be artistic on demant?? Someone once told me: "I never go out anywhere except as an artist"- tis true for myself but I tend to express myself in a variety of ways nevertheless. At any rate, I have been feeling the pressure of deadlines needed to complete my incomplete and when I eventually get around to doing it I will post the results!

Well, here it goes. . . another scholarship opportunity has arisen it's head and I face the challenge once more of ignoring my hw and subjecting myself to the mercy of the photo dept at Target. Oh well, even though scholarships are a lot of work to get through the real hard part is what you've already done! So I applied for the Connie Jamerson Scholarship of $5000 after having no luck with the DAAG. Actually a good friend of mine recieved the award and he well deserved it as his illustrations are very impressive and his work ethic very dedicated. So don't loose hope if you are a student, go out there and give yourself a chance!

Horray! Working hard at art has finally paid off. . well almost. This just proves that once in awhile it is true that an artist can make money for being good at what they love. I was nominated by my advanced life drawing teacher Yu Ji for the Dramatic Allied Arts Guild Scholarship ($2,000.00) this week. According to the scholarship, two students from each fine art dept within the college of arts ie Printmaking, Fiber, Drawing & Painting, Ceramics ect ect will show 3 pieces of art and complete an autobiography to attach to their work. Only one artist will be chosed for the scholarship so everyone wish me luck! BTW I plan on updating my gallery soon and I will post up the works that will be in the competition.

Quarky little occurance to report. . . I took a one week vacation from my apartment in Long Beach to visit my family in Pasadena for the Holidays. Having finally transported all my paintings from Fall 2006 semester I was looking forward to photographing them when I got back. Hehe. . nope. Gone! Yes, four of MY painting, not my roomates, mind you, which were stacked right next to mine, were gone. But it gets wierder. ONLY the portrait pictures of ME were gone. Interestingly enought though, the one portrait that was still here was the one that was not finished. So when all four of your roomates have no idea what goes on in the living room what's an artist to think? Well, this artist is only left to assume that these paintings were stolen by un unwelcome admirer who doesn't believe in 50/50. Geeze. At least wait until I took some pictures to have some kind of memory of my work from an entire semester. Geeze.
